Matthew graduated from Clearwater High School and received his ASE Certification with a specialty in suspension and steering from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence; Heavy Truck and Bus Diesel Mechanic Certification from Pinellas Technical College "PTEC"; and Aviation Structural Mechanic Certification from the U.S. Navy with additional certification in A-6E/KA-D Airframes and Hydraulic Systems. Matthew worked primarily as an Automotive Mechanic for Honda, Dodge, Jaguar, Shiftrite Transmissions, and In-Tune Auto. He was also a security guard, worked at Home Depot, worked on boats doing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing; and roofing and tiling.
He had a passion for all things automotive, cars, motorcycles, traveling, learning new languages and cultures, cooking, growing fruits and vegetables, and most of all, spending time with his family.
He was survived by his four children: Andreo James Boitano, Graciella Sophia Boitano, Brigitte Boitano, and Angelo Micheal Boitano; his mother: Suzanne M. Boitano, and his sister: Elizabeth A. Boitano; and many more loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives. Matthew was predeceased by his father, Edward C. Boitano.
Funeral arrangements will be held from 11am – 3pm, on December 2, 2022, at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park & Funeral Home. (Viewing 11am – 2pm, Service at 2pm followed by Burial Ceremony at 3pm)
