She was born June 25, 1935, in Mansfield, Ohio, the daughter of William and Mable Iles.
Mary resided in Mansfield, Ohio, graduated from Galion Senior HS and Mid Ohio School of Practical Nursing. Mary’s nursing years included private nursing to President Truman’s wife, Bess Truman.
She married her husband of 33 years, John Pappas October 13, 1973.
Mary was a member of Sylvan Abbey UMC in Clearwater, FL
Mary is survived by her sister Shirley, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, daughters Linda & Valorie and three brothers Elton, Don and Bruce.
Mary will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving wife, friend, mother, grandmother and committed Christian.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday Jan 27th, 3:00 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey UMC in Clearwater, FL.
