Louise M Gaffney

Gaffney, Louise Marie., 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2014. Born in Hartford, CT on July 19, 1925, Louise is survived by her husband of 71 years, Edward J. Gaffney, Sr. Other survivors include her six children, Edward J. Gaffney, Jr. and his wife Jane Lightfoot of Michigan, Denise Hartz and her husband Bob of Connecticut, Mark Gaffney and his wife Amy of Georiga, Pamela Willet and her husband Rick of Tennessee, Patrick Gaffney and his wife Gail of Palm Harbor and Terese Gaffney and her husband Steve James of Dunedin. In addition Louise had 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Elsie Silvester and Rita Spencer. Louise moved with her family from Danielson, CT to Clearwater in 1969. She worked for and managed Snelling & Snelling Personnel in Clearwater for many years, as well as working for the rectory at St. Cecilia Catholic Church later in life. She was an active patron of Light of Christ Catholic Church for many years and lead a youth/guitar mass there for many years in the 1970’s. Louise was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends on Friday. September 26th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at All Saints Catholic Church on Saturday, September 27th.
