She married the love of her life, Merle, in 1956, and the couple later moved to Largo, Florida where they built their lives together. They shared a love of travel which took them all over the world. Lorraine shared this love with her children and grandchildren throughout their lives.
She was also a dedicated homemaker known for her love of baking and especially for her Christmas-time chocolate mint bars. She was quick-witted, organized, and always generous.
Lorraine was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church since 1962. She served the parish as a Eucharistic minister for many years and as a member of the Mother’s club when her children attended St. Patrick School.
Above all else, Lorraine loved spending time with her family. She took pride in ensuring the family gathered each evening for dinner, and holidays were always joyous events where all were welcome. Her legacy will forever be seen in the strength of her family.
She is survived by her husband, Merle, 6 children: Mike, Mary (Bob), Steve (Jennifer), Pat (Mike), Tom (Lisa), and Rob (Bernie), 10 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held the evening of Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Sylvan Abbey in Clearwater from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a rosary prayer service at 7:00 pm.
