Miriam Juanita Nabors, 84, joined her mother, Ollie Belle Nabors, and her sister, Sherra Mitchell, in heaven on January 12, 2023. Juanita was a longtime resident of Cullman, Alabama, as well as central Florida. Juanita was born on May 20, 1938, to Ollie Belle (née Davis) and Howard Glen Nabors, the second oldest daughter of four (Annie Ruth, Sherra, and Sarah). Juanita was an accomplished seamstress, crafting quilts, crochet, and clothing for her friends and family, as well as a hospitality maven and ballroom dance instructor. She loved classic country and gospel music, cherished gifts from her children and grandchildren, and was sassy until the day the Lord called her home for some sweet tea and rest. Her firecracker personality will be dearly missed.
Juanita is survived by her sisters Annie Ruth Nabors and Sarah Richter; her children Sheila Charette, Jimmy Gardiner (Tammy), Perry Freeman, and Denna Freeman (Terry Jones); her grandchildren: Ashley Stein (Cody), Lydia Malone (David), Krystal Jacobs (Matthew), Jeffrey Nabors-Warner, Jennifer Tidwell (William), Ryan Weckbacher and Leeann Weckbacher; and her three great-grandchildren: Bryson, Lucas, and Tanner.
