Josephine A. Smith (Sawich) May 27, 1938 - July 8, 2015 (77) A loving mother, proud grandmother and loyal friend that made the world a better place for many people. She was an elementary educator that simply loved to teach. For nearly four decades, she challenged some of Florida's brightest and interesting children. Hundreds of Bay Area students attended her classes and her classroom was an amazing place of discovery. The joy that she obtained from watching a child figure out a math problem or comprehend a science assignment filled her with endless pride! Survived by 4 loving sons, 4 caring daughter-in-laws and a half dozen grandchildren that absolutely adored her. She will be remembered for many positive attributes including leading by example and offering unquestioned love for all. Her perspective and resulting actions touched countless people while providing them with proven examples for true integrity and determination. She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten
