Jerre Lynn Smetzer

A celebration-of-life service will honor her kind and quirky spirit on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM, at the Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home 2853 Sunset Point Rd in Clearwater, FL.

Prior to the ceremony, a period of visitation for Jerre will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (also at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater).

Also on Monday, October 7th, following the ceremony, a graveside service will occur, and then all are invited to attend a luncheon/reception to share their favorite memories of Jerre. Graveside services will be from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater. The luncheon will be close by at First Christian Church, 2299 Drew Street in Clearwater beginning at 1:00 PM

Jerre’s impact on the community will continue to be felt for generations as she has touched and guided so many young lives through the decades – both within and outside of her family through various organizations. She will be most remembered for her simple lifestyle, quiet contributions, and service-focused heart. Her descendants of 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren have benefitted beyond description from her constant encouragement, positivity, sacrificial love, and strong faith.

In lieu of flowers, please direct donations in memory of Jerre to either Accent Care – Clearwater Hospice or to First Christian Church of Clearwater.
