Jeremiah Denis Shine

He was born April 14, 1934 in New Haven, Connecticut, the

son of the late Jeremiah Shine and Mary Richardson Shine.

Jerry is formerly of Cheshire, CT and moved to the Clearwater area after retirement. He was a Customer Business Rep for the Xerox Corporation in St. Petersburg, FL. He was a graduate of St. Bonaventure University in St, Bonaventure, NY where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy. He was a member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Daniel J. Shine and Denis R. Shine.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years: Theresa Sandacata Shine of Clearwater, 2 brothers: Dr. Edward J. Shine and his wife, Madelyn of Easton, CT and Dr. John F. Shine and his wife, Kathy of Old Lyme, CT, 2 sisters: Maryann McDonald and her husband, Robert of Ft. Myers, FL and Theresa Salafia and her husband Leonard of Marlboro, Mass, 20 nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM , Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church . Father Jack Marino will be officiating.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Star of the Sea School, 16 Huntington Street, New London, CT 06320 c/o the Jeremiah Shine Fund.
