Glenn Eugene Davis Jr.

Davis, Glenn Eugene Jr., 62, of Clearwater, passed away peacefully at home December 18, 2016. He was born November 20, 1954 in Charlotte, North Carolina to Glenn Eugene Davis Sr. and Sarah (Kennerly) Davis. In his childhood, Glenn attended schools in Huntington and St. Albans, West Virginia. Later Glenn’s family settled in Clearwater, FL when his father’s work took them to the Tampa Bay area. He graduated from Clearwater High in 1973. Later, he joined the United States Marines, graduating from basic training at Paris Island, S.C. Glenn’s tour of duty took him to Bucharest Romania, Paris France, and Havana Cuba where he was selected for Embassy duty. Upon discharge from the Marines, he returned to school graduating from the University of South Florida. He accepted a position with the United States Marshall Service in Tampa. Glenn retired from the U.S. Marshal Service as a Supervisor in 2001. Glenn was a season ticket holder for the Tampa Bay Bucs and loved golf and fishing. Glenn is survived by his mother; Sarah Kennerly Davis, daughters; Jacqueline Elizabeth Davis and Jenifer Ann Davis; his sisters; Kimberly and her husband Keith Eidson and Angela and her husband Edward Ackal. He is also survived by his nephews Joshua Eidson, Jonathan Eidson, Jordan Eidson, and Graham Ackal. Rev. Daphne Johnson will officiate services Monday Dec 26, 2016 at 10:00am at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home.
