Gary Yarbrough

Gary Kenneth Yarbrough, 70, of Palm Harbor, Florida, passed away on October 21, 2023. Born on March 24, 1953, in Clearwater, Florida, Gary lived his entire life in the Sunshine State. He was a caring and loving individual who had a zest for life. Known for his friendly nature, Gary made friends wherever he went and always had a smile on his face. He had a quick wit that brought joy to those around him.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca McClean, and his three sons, Richard, Ryan, and Evan Yarbrough. He also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren. Gary was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Yarbrough, his mother, Rubie Yarbrough, and brother, Robert Yarbrough.

Gary attended Clearwater High School, and after completing his education, he embarked on a successful career. He dedicated over 30+ years of his life to Hughes Supply and an additional 10+ years to Hayes Pipe Supply.

In his free time, Gary enjoyed hanging out with friends, watching sports, and savoring a nice cold beer. He found solace in observing nature from his back porch, often accompanied by his wife. Gary also had a passion for boating, golfing, and spending time with his long-time friend Charlie at Flapjacks.

A funeral service will be held in honor of Gary's life on November 17th at 9:00 am, followed by a celebration of life at his residence. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Fish and Wildlife Foundation of Florida in honor of Gary.

The Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Clearwater, FL, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
