Edgar Lewis Scilex II, 75, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar L. and Mary C. Scilex, and is survived by his wife of 53 years, Laurel A. (Peterson) Scilex, and his two sisters, Donna Maria (Scilex) Bowcock and Mary (Scilex) Early. He is also survived by his four children, Edgar L. (Cherri) Scilex III, Richard (Dawn) Scilex, Margaret (Rick) Lanier, and Bobbi (Charles) Slagle. He has 21 grandchildren and one great-grandson. He served his country in The United States Marine Corps, and later continued his service as a civilian contractor in forward areas including Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Afghanistan, among other locations.
