Light, Donald W. 76 of Dunedin, Florida went to be with his Heavenly Father on 1/19/2016. He was born in Roachdale, Indiana on Christmas morning, 1939 to Maurice and Bertha Light. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was married to Rita Williams Light for 54 1/2 years. He was an 11 year employee of Illinois Bell and a 26 year employee of GTE Florida, from which he retired as a supervisor in 1994. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and he centered his life around family and church activities. He prayed daily for each family member by name. His well-worn bible has been a comfort to all he left behind. He had an authentic, sweet relationship with God and wanted nothing more than for those he knew to discover God’s true love and sacrifice for them. He is known as Husband to Rita, Dad to Donna and Jim, Grandpa to Melanie, Ryan, Cody and Kaley, Brother to Burt and Rich (his best friend), Uncle Don to numerous nieces and nephews, and Friend to more than can be mentioned. A Celebration of Don’s life will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 11:00am at Bayside Community Church at 3380 FL 580, Safety Harbor FL. 34695.
