Betty A. Renfroe

Betty Renfroe, age 83, entered her Heavenly home on September 9, 2013. She was born in Winter Haven, FL and moved to Clearwater as a young child and lived most of her life in Pinellas County. Her prized occupation was mother, grandmother and homemaker. Betty was a member of the Abundant Life Ministries where she was the church greeter. She never met a stranger and always had a hug and a smile for everyone. She enjoyed gardening and sharing her plants but she also enjoyed baking. Consider yourself lucky when you received one of the best baked loaf of her banana nut bread. Collecting Angels was another one of her joys. Betty always wore an Angel on her lapel and if she forgot to put one on, you had to go back and get it. She just wasn’t dressed without it. She was predeceased by her parents, Milton and Gladys Poole; her first husband, Dozier Curls and her second husband, Huie Renfroe; and a son Murray D. Curls. Betty is survived by her daughters, Libby Kent (Allan), Judy Fentress (Gene), Wanda Booth (Randy) and Carrie Holmes (Doug); step-daughter, Rita Downing (Bobby) and step-son Michael Renfroe (Barbara); 1 brother, 3 sisters; 9 grandchildren, 3 (soon to be 4) great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at 12 pm, Monday, September 16, 2013 followed by a funeral service at 2 pm at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Rd., Clearwater, FL.
