Walter L. Hubler Sr.

He was born on June 5, 1943 in Philipsburg the son of the late Clyde and Katherine (Whitton) Hubler.

Walter served in the United States Air Force from 1961-1965.

He retired from Auto Mart in Clearfield after 20 plus years of service. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, NRA, Sheriffs Association and West Branch Sportsmen’s Association.

Walter is survived by his three children: Walter Hubler Jr. and his significant other Rachel O’Dell of Philipsburg, Brian Hubler and his wife Leann of Clearfield and Elizabeth Hubler and her husband Troy Gro of Lewistown, PA; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters: Arlene Hurtack and Myrna McDowell both of Morrisdale.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Gethsemane United Methodist Church: 369 Allport Cutoff Allport, PA 16821 with Pastor Jim Hollister officiating. Burial will be in Kylertown Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded by members of the VFW.

Friends will be received from 5-8pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. The family will also receive at the church on Wednesday from 10am until the hour of services.
