Mark E. Powell

Mr. Powell was born September 21, 1957 in Lewistown, the son of Charles and Mary (Klinger) Powell.

He had been a truck driver all his life and was also a driver training instructor. He had most recently been employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, retiring in 2018.

Mr. Powell loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed gardening, carpentry and cookouts with family and friends.

Mark is survived by his wife, Robin L. (Sanker) Powell whom he married February 2, 2002, four children; James Maines and Christopher “C J” Maines and his wife Nicole all of Clearfield and Stephanie Smalls and Heather Kohler and her husband Raymond all of Lewistown, eight grandchildren; Brielle and Declan Maines, Makayla and Breanna Powell, Michael Kohler, Madison Colyer, Courtney Kohler and Jaylin Smalls, six siblings; Kay Geedy, Linda Keim, Harry Everly (Linda), Charles Powell (Sarah), Brenda Wileman (John) and Scott Powell (Donna) and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. A dinner will follow at the Wallaceton Fire Hall at 5:00 PM.

Interment will be in Reidy Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 440 West Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
