Kerinne “Rinnie” Danae Hawkins, born June 16, 1993 in Clearfield County, PA was welcomed into her heavenly home June 5, 2011 and was greeted by her pappy Roger and their beloved Savior Jesus Christ. She was the daughter and “princess” of Eugene D. and Kelly J. (McBride) Hawkins and cherished sister of Kylee and Kaden Hawkins all of Clearfield. What Rinnie loved most in life was her family with a special love for her younger cousins. She was a senior at Clearfield High School where she was a varsity cheerleader for football and wrestling. She was involved in competition cheerleading and dance for six years at Cheer Central and played soccer for eight years for the Clearfield Soccer Association. She loved gymnastics and the thrill of being a flyer for her cheerleading teams. Always energetic, taking advantage of every opportunity to practice her tumbling and cheerleading skills no matter the location, indoors or out, much to the chagrin of her parents and family. She loved the ocean and her favorite vacation destination was the beach, especially Ocean City, MD, where she often gathered a variety of small sea creatures to take home including accidentally bringing home a live jellyfish. Rinnie loved the many friends she had over the years and the many adventures they shared. Her guilty pleasures were chocolate and fudge to the extreme.
In addition to her parents and siblings Kerinne is survived by her maternal grandmother Cindy McBride of Clearfield, paternal grandmother Bertha Hawkins of Titusville, maternal Aunt Becky Schenck and husband Justin, maternal Uncles, Stephen McBride and wife Autumn all of Clearfield, Jonathan McBride and companion Jennifer of Morrisdale, Bradley McBride and wife Keri of Chattanooga, TN, paternal Uncles, Donald Baker and wife Mary of Centerville, Joseph Baker and wife Pam of Pittsfield, maternal cousins Avery, Mackenzie, Ben, Matthew, Stephen, Maclaine, and Maddie, paternal cousins Donna, Autie, Donald, and Carrie. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Roger McBride of Clearfield and paternal grandfather Eugene Hawkins Sr. of Sugar Grove.
Family and friends will be received Thursday June 9 from 6-9 at Bennett and Houser Funeral Home and Friday June 10 at the Clearfield Christian Missionary Alliance Church from 10 until time of service at 11 with Pastor Scott Schultz and Rev. Hiram Westover co-officiating. Interment will be in the Thompson Cemetery.
