James A. Smith

Mr. Smith was born May 11, 1951 in DuBois, the son of Robert Andrew and Dorothy Elaine (Nichols) Smith.

Jim was a graduate of Brockway High School.

He had been employed as a truck driver and equipment operator with various companies.

Jim was a member of the Beechwoods Presbyterian Church and a number of antique tractor and truck clubs.

He was a people person and enjoyed talking with friends he made at shows about tractors and trucks, how they operated, giving and taking knowledge about them. Jim also liked operating his sawmill.

Jim is survived by his wife, Rosemary E. (Smith) Smith whom he married on January 1, 2015, a son, Jason Smith and his wife Sharon of Brockway, three grandchildren; Nicolai, Gabriel and Lucian Smith, three brothers; Elmer Smith (Sandy) of New Hampshire, Leroy Smith (Patty) of Falls Creek and Scott Smith and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Jennifer Smith and a brother, Robert Smith.

Honoring Mr. Smith’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Interment will be in Goshen Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
