Jack D. Peters

He was born on July 18, 1929 in Woodland, the son of the late, Rex and Maude (Young) Peters. On October 11, 1949 he married Mae Ireland Peters.

He was the owner and operator of Peters Service Center in Woodland, for 21 years until his retirement.

Jack enjoyed working on cars and riding his golf cart.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Mae (Ireland) Peters;; six children: Marsha Holt and her husband Tim of West Decatur, Candy Roberts and her husband Melvin of Woodland, Phillip Peters and his wife Cheryl of Morrisdale, Jeffrey Peters and his companion Nanette Wisor of Hyde, Barry Peters of Irvona and Gary Peters of Irvona; 14 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons: Gary and Brock Peters; a great grandsons, Dakota Cochran; a great granddaughter, Mackenzie Holt; a sister, Joy “Dot” Shaw; three brothers: Loy “Pokey”, Bernard and James Peters.

At the request of Mr. Peters all services are private. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc.
