& Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville, passed away on Friday, November
22, 2024 after a lengthy illness.
Born February 15, 1936 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Lawrence
“Buzz” and Cleo “Sue” (Venes) Shimel.
Fay attended Clearfield High School 1950-1954.
She was Protestant by faith.
Fay lived in the Clermont, Florida area for 31 years. She worked at
Walmart in Eustis, Florida where she was Department Manager before Retiring
after 25 years.
She was a social member of the VFW Post 1785 of Clearfield, and a supporter
of the SPCA, Clearfield and Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic, Woodland. Fay
was an avid reader of Westerns & Romance. When she wasn’t reading, she
enjoyed The Hallmark Channel and Classic TV. Fay enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren of whom she loved all so much.
Fay is survived by her children, Vikki DelRe (Will Walker) of West
Decatur, PA, Jody Shimel (Lori) of West Decatur, PA, Amy Good
(Ron) of Bigler, PA, Robin Ross (Tony) of
Tolleson, Arizona; grandchildren, Shannon (Wayne) Spencer of Curwensville,
Douglas Thomson (Tanya )of Mascotte,Fl., Che'rie DelRe and Cliff Small of Dubois
Curtis Shimel and fiance(Taylor) New Bern, NC, Ashley (Jay )Eubanks of New Bern,NC
Allen Good of Philipsburg ,Michelle Wheaton of Phoenix AZ. Great grandchildren;
Shyanne Casher, Doug Jr & Bentley Thomson,Sophia DelRe ,Caiyah Slogosky and Rorie
Small; Rhett Shimel ,Evelyn & Blakelyn Eubanks, Alencia Good , twins Angelina Hernandez &
Andrea (Angel) Callaway and Madison Wheaton and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Donna Evans, two
brothers; Ron and Larry Shimel and a granddaughter Tara Williams.
In honoring Fay’s wishes, there will be no services.
