Connie L. Hudson

Born April 22, 1940 in Bradford Township, the daughter of Wilfred and Flora Mae (Hess) Hudson.

Connie was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School, Class of 1958 and Trinity College of Bible.

She had been employed as an office assistant at Kurtz Brothers for 13 years and American Home Patient for 13 years, retiring in 2005. Connie had also been a teacher at various Christian Schools in the area for 10 years.

Connie was a member of the Community Baptist Church of Curwensville.

She was devoted to teaching children in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and enjoyed reading, gardening, walking her dogs around the East End of Clearfield and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan.

Connie is survived by her brother, Daniel “Joe” Hudson and his wife Joanne of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers; Doyle, Blair “Barney”, Glenn, Ray, Clifford “Chubby” and Maynard Hudson and five sisters; Carmen Irwin, Twila “Midget” Woodside Matter, Louise Stiner, Irene Somerville and L. June Hudson.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with her nephew, Charlie Jones officiating. Interment will be in Stoneville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Community Baptist Church, P.O. Box 202, Curwensville, PA 16830.
