Audrey Bowers McDermott

She was born on February 29, 1924 in Clearfield, PA, the daughter of William N. and Thelma (Ogden) Bowers.

Mrs. McDermott graduated from Clearfield Area High School class of 1942.

She retired from Bell Telephone Company.

Mrs. McDermott was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.

She enjoyed nature and homemaking and above all spending time with her family.

Mrs. McDermott is survived by three children; Patricia McDermott Conrad and her husband, William of Harrodsburg, KY, Donald McDermott and his wife, Jane of Greensburg, PA and Timothy McDermott and his wife, Joan of Clearfield, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two sisters; Hazel Cramer and her husband, Allen of Titusville, FL and Sylvia Spingola and her husband, Dan of Clearfield and a brother, William Bowers and his wife, Rene of State College, two brother-in-laws; Robert Thomson and Donald Lyman both of FL and a sister-in-law, Shirley Bowers of Curwensville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas Patrick McDermott who passed away on July 3, 2005, four sisters: Margaret Cowdrick, Emma Williams, Merlyn Thomson and Joyce Lyman and a brother, Harold “Sonny” Bowers.

Honoring Mrs. McDermott's wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Interment will be in the Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield-Penn Highland Hospice, P.O. Box 992, Clearfield, PA 16830.
