William Eugene "Papa" Schaffroth, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the SECU Hospice House surrounded by his family. "Papa" was born in Teaneck, NJ on July 11, 1948, to the late Emil and Mary Turner Schaffroth and was a retired manager with Verizon Communications.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Schaffroth; a son, William Schaffroth and his wife, Sherri; daughters, Terri Vitelli and her husband, William, Samantha Myszelow and her fiancé, Guy Wavra; grandchildren, Michelle, Gabby, Kylie, Ryan, Gia, Willie, Liam, Guy and Dominic; great granddaughter, Hunter; sisters, Mary Lazzaro and Nancy Irwin; brother, Rudy Schaffroth; nieces and nephews, Christopher, Mark, Brian, John, Emil, Rudy, Michelle, Craig, Mathew, Christian, Justin, Michael and Katie. In addition to his parents, "Papa" was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Schaffroth.
A memorial mass for Mr. Schaffroth will be held Friday, March 31, 2023 at 12:00 at Saint Ann Catholic Church in Clayton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services PO Box 22324 New York, NY 10087.
