Robert “Bob” Sherrill Stephenson, Sr., 73, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2015. A native of Johnston County, Bob was born September 18, 1941 to the late Ralph and Pauline Sullivan Stephenson. He was a graduate of NC State University and retired from the NCESC. A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 2:30pm at Shiloh Baptist Church, 3414 N. Shiloh Road, Garner, NC 27529. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 12830 US HWY 70 Business W, Clayton, NC 27520. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:15pm at the church. He is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Brenda Stephenson; daughter, Wendy Stephenson and husband, Amedeo Rosa; son, Robert Stephenson, Jr. and wife, Kimberly Boylston; grandsons, Robert “Trey” Stephenson, III and Blake Stephenson; brothers, Glen, Charles, and Ronnie Stephenson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Bledsoe and Marie Stephenson, and a brother, Frankie Stephenson.
