Love you papa and miss you so much I know you are watching down on us from heaven

Oh Dad! How you will be missed!  My dad was such just a kind and gentle man! I will miss so many things about him. His voice, his hugs, and his quick- witted sense of humor! We are so thankful that Ava and Claire got to spend so much time with you these last couple of years! They loved their Papa so much!  Ava will miss sneaking cookies together with you and Claire will miss the many of hours of checkers you would play together!!  You never did teach Claire your strategy for always beating her.  We love you Dad and we have peace knowing that you are no longer in pain and that you are getting things ready for us for a time when we are all together again! We love you daddy!

We loved to watch you crack yourself up with your quick-witted jokes. I will miss pulling up to mom and dad’s house and seeing dad standing in the doorway to greet us! Even when he struggled he still greeted us with his kind, gentle, loving hug and smile!  We are so thankful that Ava and Claire got to spend so much time with you over the last couple of years! They loved their Papa so much!  Ava will miss sneaking cookies together with you and Claire will miss the many of hours of checkers you would play together!! While Bob was several years older than me, I have many photos of him with my brothers Richard and Mark, and another cousin, David,  from the family's Situate cottage.  Sadly, as cousins, we saw each other only when we were young and lost touch with one another as we grew up. I am sorry for your loss. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Everyday was a favorite day with you!  I miss our talks, our laughs and the sound of your voice.  Our heart breaks, my heart breaks because I can't give you a hug and a kiss anymore. I can't reach out and call you.  You were the best dad we could ever asked for. You were the best grandfather and most of all the best husband and best friend to mom.  We love you and miss you and I don't know how we will go on without you. I love you always and forever! Chris
