Percy Liles passed away peacefully on December 15th, 2020 in the presence of his son, family and friends. He was born in Nash County on February 24, 1943 and has been a resident of Clayton for over 40 years. Percy is survived by his son, Harold Liles and his wife, Sharon; three grandchildren, Colby, Morgan, and Caroline all of Johns Creek, Georgia.
Percy served with the United States Army including 20 plus years serving within the North Carolina National Guard. He was active with the American Legion Post #71 for over 31 years in Clayton serving as their Judge Advocate. Percy was involved in many other organizations including the VFW and the 40 & 8. He was a proud member of the Freedom Biker Church located in Benson, NC which included his recent Baptism and giving his life to God! He touched many people in his life with his smile, positive attitude, and generosity. He is loved by many and missed by more!
A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a future date at The Freedom Biker Church he attended. All are welcome and will be notified when arrangements are made.
