Lee was born in Wake County on September 5, 1967 to Linda LaVhon Coleman Barefoot and the late Roland Lee Barefoot, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. William Coleman and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Barefoot, Sr.; and several aunts and uncles.
He was a graduate of Clayton High School Class of 1987. Lee was known as a logical thinker and was a talented carpenter. Lee was a novice pool player and skilled marksman at turkey shoots. He loved and enjoyed cooking to make his family and friends happy.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sister, Lorie Barefoot Dunn (Jonathan); niece and nephew, Hannah Dunn and Matthew Dunn.
