I worked with Charles as one of my partners. He was always kind and funny. Great to work with. I am sad that he is gone but I am glad to have known him as long as I did.

Charles was SO LOVED by his Ingram Micro family! He was always such a pleasure to work with, and he left such a positive impact any time we spoke. Sending our love your way.   -Tanner & Emma

This describes my relationship with Chuck Damron. 
We had many spontaneous chat sessions in the church parking lot after Sunday morning worship. 
We enjoyed lengthy phone conversations… and on one Saturday in September of 2017,  we drove to the Seaview Pier on North Topsail Island  for a day of fishing.
Over the years, we joked, laughed, prayed and discussed. 
I valued Chuck’s insight. He sometimes offered a perspective I had not considered. 
And I sometimes gave advice that he was genuinely grateful for.
I believe we both came away from those encounters a little “sharper” than before.
The next time we see each other, Chuck, we’ll be perfectly sharpened in the Glorious Presence of the One and Only!
And it won’t be long.
See you then, buddy!

Die Mitglieder der "Jeremias Flickschuster Bigband" trauern um Charles Damron. Liebe Claudia, mit großer Bestürzung haben wir vom Ableben Deines Mannes erfahren. Er ist viel zu früh von Euch gegangen. Du warst lange aktives Mitglied bei den "Flicks" und gehörst somit zur Flickschusterfamilie. Die Erinnerung an Dich ist sehr lebendig und wird es bleiben. Am 10. Juli vormittags haben wir an der Donaupromenade in Vilshofen einen Auftritt. Wir werden mit dem Stück "Coming Home Babe"  Charles und Deiner Familie gedenken. Unser Mitgefühl gehört Dir und Deiner Familie.

We are deeply saddened to hear of Charles‘ passing. We only met twice while Charles and Claudia were staying in Germany together. But we instantly noticed and liked Charles‘ kindness, his friendliness and his warm sense of humor.
Charles and Claudia - my former classmate, friend and bandmate at my hometown’s jazzband - met randomly on her trip to the United States, fell in love, got married and had two wonderful daughters.
I still remember our last concert evening together when I asked Charles to take care of Claudia and he promised me to do so. 
We can hardly imagine, how Claudia and her family will miss him. We wish you strength and belief and in the end the will to let him go!
Rest in peace, Charles.

I had the privilege of being in the same youth group as Charles.  We were also both on the Thailand team and we worked together at a summer camp for special needs children.  Charles was such a kind, sweet person that loved to laugh and was a blessing to others.    My prayers are with Charles’ wife and children as well as Mr and Mrs. Damron, Russell and Matthew.

I’m so sorry to hear this news.   Charles was a great guy!   My favorite memory was when he dropped my youngest off, after spending time with Emma, he helped get a huge bees nest out of my mailbox.   We still joked about it whenever we saw each other.   Prayers to all.   Cherish the memories.  ❤️

I Remember when I was little and I would go to stay at their house and he would always come and say goodnight and  pray over us, and he would always play a trick on me and tell me that he was my dad. At the time I didn’t understand that him and my dad where brothers, so he would tell me that they were the same person.

I had the pleasure of working with him a lot. He was so genuine and always made a good conversation. It didn't take long for me to find out he was a big fisherman, from there we started planning a fishing trip. I showed him my poles, and in his generosity, he offered to get them all tuned up for me and we started to plan a weekend to go. I wish I could have had that weekend with him before this. He was more than just a coworker to me, I even grew to call him my friend. I appreciate him for that, and I'll miss him dearly.

We were really saddened to hear of Charles' passing. Although we hadn't seen him in decades, we remember him as a teenager with a big heart, love for the Lord, and kind and gentle demeanor. We send our heartfelt condolences to Karen and Gary, Russell and Matthew, and Charles' wife and children. May the Lord comfort and sustain you as you grieve the loss of your beloved Charles.


For me as a youth pastor, Chuck made ministry rewarding. He wanted to follow Jesus and serve Jesus. I remember his excitement over being able to go on a short-term missions trip to Thailand in 1986. His family and friends and the team held a garage sale in the Damron driveway to raise funds. Chuck showed up for everything. Friday night LIFE Centre youth, Sunday church, choir, prayer meeting, small group. Chuck and his family moved to the US and we thought we may not see them again but in June 1990 our youth choir travelled to North Carolina and we got to reconnect with Chuck. We went to Nags Head for a day at the beach. It was so good to know that Chuck found happiness with Claudia, Emma and Hannah. Charles was a good man. Jocelyn and I send you our love and prayers to you. God bless you.

Es ist so unvorstellbar, dass Charles nicht mehr unter uns ist. Er war immer so sehr bemüht, dass es uns gut geht, wenn wir zu Besuch waren. Wir haben mit Charles und seiner Familie wunderbare Urlaube verbracht, dafür sind wir sehr dankbar.
Wir werden Charles sehr vermissen und in guter Erinnerung behalten.

I am so sorry to hear of Charles' passing.  I always enjoyed speaking with him.  He was able to do something you so not see a lot of:  listen.  He always had a bright smile.  I know you will miss him!

I always remember Charles as being very mature for his age. One memory that stands out was him watching a bunch of us kids at the Currie family house in Dorval (Montreal,Canada),while our parents went out.I was aloud to stay up being a bit older than the other kids,but I was a rascal. He was so calm and kind. He sang to calm us all down and relax us. He had such a nice soothing singing voice. I can still hear him sing. My condolences to Mr and Mrs Damron and Russ and to the rest of Charles family. Now we all know who the perfect son is. LOL.

Chuck was a good man. He always took time to ask how I was and he really cared about the answer.  He loved The Lord and I know I will see him again in heaven.  

Charles was a very special friend to me. We met 3 years ago on a random work phone call and became friends instantly. Over the years we continued our friendship and spoke several times a week in one form or another, although we never got to meet in person. Not too long ago, Charles thanked me for our friendship and said I will be his forever friend. Little did I know forever would end so soon. Although my sweet friend has left this earth, his footprint will forever be imprinted in my heart. Until we meet again and drive together this time, in England…

I was blessed to be able to work with Charles and attend bible study with him. I think the thing that struck me about Charles from day one was his larger than life personality and his ability to display openness, to share, and talk to just about anyone. I don't think Charles knew a stranger. He certainly brightened the halls and zoom calls with his personality. I hope there's lots of big fish to catch - I'll miss your stories about staying up all night, fishing off of the piers! 

We will miss you buddy. May your soul rest in peace brother!

I worked day to day with Charles and was happy to see him start coming into the office more and him really enjoying coming into the office. Charles really had a presence about him that would take you out of any mood and put a genuine smile on your face. He was always ready to listen and support anything you had going on, whether big or small. One day, he even took a look under the hood of my car and gave me some car-dad advice, haha.  Said I could call him up if I ever needed bail.. or maybe just stranded.. I think that's what it was. ;) 
Charles, you were a glimmer of sunshine here at WS and we will miss your light, love and essence. Rest easy, "buddy" and I will make sure to wear my smile more often, for you!

We worked with Charles as a customer of WingSwept.  Charles was a hard worker and more important just a good man. He will be missed.

I fondly recall Charles, as a young child, playing the role of the Old Ram in our kids musical "We Like Sheep." The comforting thought occured to me upon receiving the announcement of his passing that he is now with The Shepherd. Psalm 23 - "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.... And I shall dwell in the House of the Lord forever." Our condolences and prayers for the Damron family during this difficult time.

Charles was like a big brother. There is one evening that I will never forget. The moms went away for the weekend, they had Matthew. Charles, Russ and I were left with Mr. Damron. A group from the church was going out that evening. Charles was told to not let me out of his sight and to not come home without me. I wasn’t aware of this conversation. I was asked to go to a movie with a few people as everyone was heading out. Chuck knew what I was doing and who I was with. Chuck got back to the Damron house a couple hours before I did. Chuck decided that he was not home until he was actually in the house. He paced the sidewalk for a couple of hours before I was dropped off, he was a little frantic when I did finally arrive back. Mr. Damron sat both Chuck and I down to have a chat. Our chat ended with Mr. Damron saying that he now knew why God never gave him girls… never a dull moment with the Damron boys.

Although I never met Mr Charles Damron in person. I have known his brother and family for many years. They are the nicest most respectable people. There values and beliefs help spread joy and love to those around them. I can only imagine Mr Charles Damron was the same.

When Chuck was very small..He told his Grandma Damron, she was the top of the Banano !!!!!!
That's how,as a child he expressed his love for her....
We...as a Family, still use this saying,to this day....
We love him more than any words could say...so,today he is in his Heavenly Home,with his Grandma ,the top of the Banano !!!!!!
