Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, March 18, 2022 in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with Pastor Walter Blackman officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday, March 18, 2022 at the funeral home, prior to the service.
She was a loving Mother, Grammie, Mammie and friend to many. Jesus and her family meant everything to her and she looked forward to every visit. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Alice was the daughter of the late Lottie and Odell Brady of Clayton and her biological father Thurman Coats of Wilsons Mills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 30 years, Stanley Wood; her beloved son, Rocky Stevens; and the father of their three children, Jimmy Stevens.
She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Stevens of Goldsboro and her son, Andy Stevens (Corinna) of Benson; and a sister, Imogene Bijolle; five grandchildren, Jenna Blackman (Matthew), Chad Stephenson (Candace), Morgan Stephenson (Matt Sikes), Cody Stevens (Sandria Verrier) and Rodney Stevens.
She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Carlee and Chloe Stephenson and Kennedy and Noah Blackman; and her special fur-baby, Joey Blue Wood.
