Charles B. Simmons

C. B. was born May 25, 1923 at Cisne, IL to Ira A. (Babe) and Wanda (Clay) Simmons. He married Rosalie Hill, March 15, 1941 at Old Monroe, MO. She preceded him in death Feb. 20, 2007.

C. B. loved to quail hunt and was a former Drive-In Theatre operator in Newton, IL and Salem, IN. He was a member of Cisne Christian Church and was a fifty year Mason at Anthony Doherty Masonic Lodge #1111, Cisne, IL.

C. B. is survived by one daughter Donna Miller of Vandalia, IL; two sons J. B. Simmons (& his wife Marla) of Newburgh, IN; and Ron Simmons (& his wife Brenda) of Bowling Green, KY; and one brother Frank Simmons (& his wife Lynn) of Joliet, IL. Nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren also survive.

Preceding him in death were his wife Rosalie, one sister June and his parents Babe and Wanda.

Funeral services for C. B. Simmons will be 1PM Friday, Jan. 13, 2012 at Hosselton Funeral Home with burial in Cisne Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7PM Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials in memory of C. B. Simmons may be given to American Lung Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
