Grace Irene Lindsey

Age 82, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Blanche (Heeter) Chandler; her son, Jerry Lindsey; and siblings, Norma Fausnaugh, Ruth Hill, Nellie (John) Moore, and John "Ed" Chandler.

Grace is survived by her son, Charles Lindsey; grandson, Brandon Lindsey; sister, Mary June Moore; and sister-in-law, Connie Chandler.

For over 20 years, Grace worked as a cook and maintenance staff at both Scioto Downs and Beulah Park. In her free time, she enjoyed tending to her yard and flower beds, taking great pride in keeping them beautiful.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Defenbaugh Wise Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St. Her funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Interment will follow at Beckett Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, in honor of Grace’s caring and generous spirit.

Her family and friends will remember Grace for her love of family, her dedication to her work, and her nurturing care of the world around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
