Salvador R. Pina

Salvador "Chava" Pina passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Sharp Memorial, Chula Vista, California. Salvador was born in Tijuana, Mexico on December 26, 1951, to Antonio Pina and Maria Ramirez. Salvador started his career working as a construction worker but ended his career working for Albertson for 20 years.

Salvador married Guadalupe on June 19, 1976. Salvador and Guadalupe had two daughters Mayra Felix and Arlene Hill. Salvador will be remembered by his contagious energy and happiness he brought to anyone that met him. His passion for music shinned through the beat of the drums he played.

Salvador was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Maria, sisters Elena and Concha.

He is survived by his wife, Guadalupe: his daughters Mayra and Arlene and grandchildren, Noah (15) Jacob (13), Celine (7), Japheth (17), Isaiah (5) and Eliana (4).

A visitation for Salvador will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Funeraria del Angel Chula Vista, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91910. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at St. Charles Catholic Church, 990 Saturn Blvd, San Diego, CA 92154. A graveside service will occur Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902..
