Katherine Reeder August 8, 1940 - August 12, 2018 San Diego Katherine Reeder (Baker) was born August 8, 1940 in El Centro, California. The daughter of Billie & Noah. After a valiant fight over the past four years, she lost her battle to breast cancer on August 12th, 2018. She is survived by Phil Reeder, who she married in 1959, and lives in San Diego. She is survived by her brother Ed Baker of Prescott, Arizona, Louise Byrd (Roy) of El Centro, California and Glena (Ron) Pritchard of Lincoln, California. She is also survived by her son, Dr. Kevin Reeder and daughter, Lori Harris (Phil), an elementary school teacher, both children live in San Diego. She leaves 4 grandchildren: Dylan Reeder and Macy Wallace, Trent and Cole Harris.Katherine earned straight A's throughout high school, entitling her to lifetime membership in the California Scholarship Federation, and voted most popular as Homecoming Queen. Katherine is a self-taught water colorist, and past president of the North County Society of Fine Arts. Katherine enjoyed traveling while visiting over 30 countries with her husband, as well as annual visits to the Hawaiian Islands. She was very involved with her four grandchildren and loved to retell stories about their childhood.A Celebration Of Life and reception to remember Katherine will be held Sunday, September 2nd at 11am at The Country Club of Rancho Bernardo 12280 Greens East Road San Diego, CA 92128. In lieu of flowers, to honor Katherine, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
