Joan Louise Butler, 85 years old, of San Diego, passed away on February 23, 2016. She was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on September 3, 1930. She graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1948. She married Delos Leo Butler on August 15, 1953. They were blessed with 53 years of marriage and two sons, Keith and Bruce.
Joan's passion in life was caring for her family and spending time with her close friends. In her spare time she enjoyed the company of animals, in particular her cats. Hobbies included reading whenever possible.
Joan was predeceased by her husband, Delos, on November 6, 2006. She is survived by her sons Keith V. Butler, (Nitza), and Bruce A. Butler, (Stacy). Her legacy includes a granddaughter, Tomasita Louise Kimble, (Thomas) and great grandson Landon Keith Kimble. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Cynthia Gates.
A memorial celebration of life service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Humphrey, 753 Broadway, Chula Vista, California 91910, on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
