It was once said, "If you did not know Margarito Lopez, then you are not from Chowchilla." Margarito was well-known in this town. For 53 years, since the age of 16, Margarito has lived and farmed the rich fields of Chowchilla. Margarito leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice that cannot be matched.
Margarito touched many lives, his boundless generosity and readiness to help others, regardless of the circumstances leaves an indelible mark. Yet, his greatest accomplishment lies within his sons; Jerry, Jimmy, Dorian, and Dominique, with the help of his wife of 49 years, Ignacia, whom they shaped through sacrifice, resilience, and tireless effort. Everyone measures success in their own special way, but for Margarito, his sons' accomplishments were his true rags-to riches story.
Margarito's warmth, humor, infectious smile, and enduring legacy in this town will forever be appreciated. The moment has come for the good Lord to call upon his most dedicated farmer to tend to his heavenly fields. Margarito will be dearly missed.
Through this site, we invite you to view and share cherished photos and videos, share fond memories and expressions of sympathy for the Lopez Family or share the obituary with others via social media and email.
Extrañaremos muchísimo a Margarito.
