Kathy was born on April 16, 1950, in Omaha, Nebraska of her parents Merle and Laura Johnson. She also had three other siblings she was very close to, Vicki, David and Ruth. Kathy graduated from Bryan High School and later on studied music at Grace Bible Institute where she was the Class of 1970. She went on to study Child Development at Fresno State University, Class of 1977.
While attending Grace Bible Institute Kathy met the love of her life Ricky Bob Radtke, husband of 55 years who she loved and cared about endlessly. Together they raised four children, Heather, Jason, Jessica and Taylor.
The fierce loving support she showed her family while they faced all of life’s greatest challenges will always stand out as one of her greatest attributes.
Kathy was involved in the day to day operation of her husband's Chiropractic Clinic as office manager and bookkeeper. She was always there to lend a hand when someone was sick, needed a hug or shoulder to cry on or someone to vent to. She loved spending time with her family and making memories with them. And if life ever threw a curveball at you she was ready to help you knock it out of the park.
Kathy was a wise and gentle loving woman to the people that were in her presence. Some of her favorite hobbies were scrapbooking, making personal holiday card's, playing games such as Scrabble, Quiddler and Bunco nights with some of her most cherished friends.
She enjoyed taking walks on the beach in the central coast of California and visiting her sister in the Midwest. Kathy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Often they would gather around the dinner table to consume Ricks down home cooking and play various board games. Kathy was always passionate about the decoration involved in celebrating birthday's and her favorite holidays creating a special atmosphere for everyone involved.
Kathy was always thinking of the welfare of others and this lead her to donate money to many various charities such as Crisis Pregnancy Center and various Christian based ministries that helped spread the good news of Jesus Christ internationally and would “adopt” several impoverished kids to help meet their basic needs until they could effectively support themselves.
She loved to nurture her garden in the backyard with the occasional hummingbird visitor that would come by and brighten her day. She was a person who was hardworking and always had a smile on her face.
Kathy enjoyed her life with friends and family and had a beautiful relationship with the Lord. She was a Christian woman and her faith was an inspiration to her family and friends. No matter how she was tested by the trials and tribulations of life her faith never wavered. She was a courageous woman who had a special impact on many.
