John Henry Davis, age 94, of Chowchilla, California passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020 with his family by his side. John was born August 20, 1926 in Ariton, Alabama to Alec and Lena Davis.

John believed in the value of hard work. He loved music, spending time with his family, and living life to the fullest.

John is survived by sons Barry Davis, Kenneth Davis (Mary); daughter Shelly Davis, sister Anne Bachelor; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Maxine Davis; father Alec Davis and mother Lena Davis; brother Gaynor Davis; sisters Ollie Pittman, Inez Ciapponi, Bertha Bachelor, and grandson Johnny Hill.

John will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A graveside service for John will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Chowchilla Cemetery District, 23359 Road 14 1/2, Chowchilla, CA 93610.
