I haven’t had it in me to read all the beautiful things posted by everyone who loved my grandpa. Until today, Thankyou all for sharing these with us❤️

And today I write mine.. I miss you more than anything grandpa. You were my rock &my bestfriend. I still don’t know how I’m gonna get through the rest of my life without you in it. Everything is so unfamiliar without you here. I love you more than anything grandpa. 

I still can't believe you're gone. All those years of working together at the City of Chino were just yesterday, weren't they? I was there from 1985 to 2000, and you helped make every one of them special. Your smile first thing in the mornings set off the whole day. And, my goodness, when we got into the early 90's and became grandparents around the same time - we had each other. Oh, the stories we shared.  You were a close friend, a sweetheart of a guy and always, always such a gentleman. Your love for your family glowed through your heart and your smiles. I may have moved to the state of Washington, but a part of me stayed behind in Chino. You were a great cheerleader when I got my first book published and have always supported my dreams as an author. You are truly missed, big guy. They don't make men like you anymore. Yet, I know the ripples of your grandchildren and great grandchildren will enhance the area and people because of you.

Richard was one of the nicest man I knew Always a kind smile on his face whenever I seen him. Tamie, Lisa and all his grandchildren and his family I will be praying for strength and comfort 🙏 ❤

Richard my sweetheart of 21 years.. I miss you dearly. Theres not a day that goes by that I don't think about you. I miss our daily phones calls our  breakfast and dinner dates but most of all I miss you smiling at me and making me laugh we've shared many good times together..You will always be in my heart ❤️ until we are together again in heaven..love you Marylou..  

I’m so sorry for your loss. Although I was not close to your dad Lisa I remember long ago when he brought you to my grandmothers viewing in Baldwin Park. He did not know my grandma but  It meant a lot to us that he came. That is why I believe he was such a kind person because he took the time out of his day to be there for my dad and my family. That memory has always stayed with me and will not be forgotten.  

Well when I hear the name Richard Silva it takes me way back to Lil Miss Softball 🥎. Those were the days! ☺️ When you played against “The Red Hots” he didn’t want to lose but that was the name off the game. There was always Richard, Helen, Lisa and Tammy. Snack bar duty, scorekeeper’s ,umpiring , getting the fields in order he made sure it all got done with the help of his team parents but boy were they hard to beat! He gave it his all!! Much later I had the privilege of seeing him at Jakes Birthday gathering at Shakey’s Pizza . Well Richard has passed but he will always be remembered and greatly missed. When he saw me he always said “How ya doing kid” so Rest In Peace Richard… condolences to the family… sending hugs and prayers of healing 💔🌹

My favorite memory with you was when you became my first Softball Coach! You made me a Superstar!! You were always so positive and encouraging. You let us all know we were "stars" whether on the field or off. You taught me to start believing in who I am and my abilities at a young age. 
You raised two beautiful girls who share that amazing smile of yours. Lisa has a heart of gold just like you always had. She is always thinking of others and goes out of her way to help out. Just like you did Coach!
My Mom went to High School with you and still to this day has great memories of your friendship. 
You will be missed tremendously by so many. You touched the hearts of many. Your smile was always so sincere. Anyone that had the chance to see it was blessed. 
May you rest in peace. Heaven was blessed the day you arrived. 

Coach- years have passed and impressions that turned into the best memories as a young softball player always hoping that I would be part of the Superstars girls
Softball team. You were always my favorite coach and taught us so much. Better yet the patience dealing with all of us crazy girls. Thank you for being the example and giving us so much love. RIP - ❤️🙏

I'm  so glad we got to meet your Dad the time we all got together at our home in Hughson. My brother was there also, and we were surprised to find out that they knew each other. They had worked together for the city. They were glad to see each other again. Very good memories of that special ocassion. Love, hugs, and lots of prayers are sent to you and your family.

Everyone should have an Uncle Ricky in their lifetime as kids. Growing up, you were the  Uncle that we saw often, and truly felt the love. We talked often these past few years, as  you would give me comfort, and assurance that things get better as I would call you on my long, stressful drive home from work. I would tell you We love you at the end of our calls, and will always cherish our last call on Christmas 2021. Never a goodbye, rather a “see you later Uncle Ricky.”

Our Uncle Ricky was thee best and closest we ever had....Growing up at Nana's house we saw him everyday 9am, City of Chino truck be at the house for breakfast, our tio in his orange and brown, later blue city uniform...he will be greatly missed by my brothers and I...its a huge loss for us as well...Growing up thru middle school and early high school I loved being with my cousins when I  could...my Tio and Tia took me many places with them as the girls traveled with sports on weekends...I Love you Uncle Ricky...and Thank you for all the memories! 

Coach of the year, he is. The memories of your laughter, to the glimmer in your eyes of loving life, to you giving us softball players an award after every season. I always got “the biggest glove”. To riding in the bed of your truck after each game with your wonderful daughters Lisa and Tammy. 

Rick will always hold a piece of my heart, and the memories I have of you have always brought a smile to me. Thank you for all you gave each one of us softball girls. Your one of the best, and you will be greatly missed by all who loved, and cared for you 
    
                                          


It’s so easy to talk about my Dad because he made things memorable and always found the time . The time to teach us , the time to spoil us and the time to always love us . He did this for everyone in his world .and it fills my heart to hear stories about him from others . His grandkids were everything to him and he mastered being the best Grandpa , wherever he was , was where HOME was . I have countless memories of my Dad that will now be stories I share with my Grandson .  I will carry you always in my heart ❤️

Our memories comfort my heart but waiting for that daily phone call that I will never get again is painful. I miss you Dad! I could still see you in your blue City of Chino uniform watering the yard from when I was little and can remember the dedication you showed teaching me how to pitch no matter how many times you had to replace the front window that I broke. Thank you for loving us so much, you'll forever stay in my heart.

Ther ain't a day that goes by wer I'm not thinking of you, I have to catch myself sometimes an remind myself ur really gone ...,gone but never forgotten pops,  I love you man thank you for everything gramps yuu really wer the best to me n had my back no matter whatt you are my bestest friend and I would give anything just to here you say " heyy Mijo," or to get a call from you just to hear yu ask if I was okay even though you just dropped me off, Orr how anytime you would see police or the ghetto bird you would seek me out just to see if I wasn't butsed lol I love you pops , I'm gonna miss you.. . I love you.  ..rest easy papa...save a spot for me 

Richard you were such a true supportive friend,  always there when I needed you. I will truly miss you. I have known you since high school,  you and your brother George were part of our family. May you Rest with our LORD. 

Rest in paradise Richard you will truly be missed ..You were such a nice man and friend to our family now your rejoicing in heaven..I will miss you calling me for tamales and for me to make you some rice..lol..You were sick and asking me if I  needed anything omg ..that's the kind man you were..now you're our guardian angel from heaven watching over us..
