In January of 1940, Barbara Jean Baldwin was born in Los Angeles, California to Helen and Eulalio Camacho. Two years later, she was joined by her brother Robert. Barbara was like many young girls of the day, enjoying afternoons riding bicycles and waiting for the ice-cream man to round the corner. She could be caught playing with her little brother out in the yard while her mother worked in the kitchen on the night’s dinner.
Barbara grew into a beautiful young woman who enjoyed spending time with friends and watching boys chase after her. In the spring of 1958, she graduated from Baldwin Park High School. It was not too long after she married in 1965. Two years later, Barbara gave birth to her first child Keith Baldwin. Keith was followed by his two sisters Melissa and Christina. She spent the rest of her life enjoying time with her children, watching them grown into adults.
Barbara’s greatest joy in life was the birth of her six grandchildren. In them, she found a reason to rejoice in the role of being a grandmother; a role in which she shined. In her later years, she could be seen watching her grandchildren play softball, and grabbing her purse to shop with her daughters and friends. For her children, Barbara was their closest confidant and a true best friend. She embodied the truest sense of compassion, honesty, and love.
In April of 2012, Barbara entered into eternal rest with her family by her side.
