Wanda Kay McAllister Spry, age 65 of China Grove, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at her home after a period of declining health. Born February 12, 1956 in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late Archie Ray McAllister and Dorothy Jean Kilby McAllister. Wanda was of Baptist faith.
Wanda spent most of her career as a waitress in the food service industry. In her spare time, she loved going thrift shopping, spending time with her family and really enjoyed the humorous side of life. Wanda had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Carla Wallace (Kenyatta) and Jessica Rowland (John) along with her grandchildren, Aesha Wallace, Jarell Wallace, McKenzie Rowland, Addison Rowland and Myia Wallace. She also leaves behind her sisters, Shirley Newell (Danny), Carolyn McAllister Gaines (Chuck) and Vickie Howell (Joe) and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a private memorial service at a later date.
