Sylvia Dean Sellers

Sylvia Dean Sellers, 66, of China Grove, NC passed away at her home on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Sylvia was born on February 6, 1958 to the late Duncan Thomas Sellers and Gladys Mae Young. Sylvia was educated in Rowan County Schools. Sylvia worked in Cannon Mills throughout her life. She enjoyed eating at Gary's Barbecue, Jimmy's Restaurant and Hardee's of China Grove. She never met a stranger and always wanted to help others.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her twin brother, Chris Sellers, brothers Tommy Sellers, Kenneth Sellers, sister Vickie Faggart and great nephew Andrew Myers.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Shane Merritt of the home, Jason Merritt (Ruth) of Blacksburg S.C, Jamie Hawkins (Chuck) of Lake Wylie S.C. and Sandy Deal of Landis, N.C.; nine

grandchildren, Jordan, Morgan, Jase, Dante, Garrett, Aiden, Taylor, Kaylan and Brantley; two brothers, Odell (Bugs) Sellers (Mary), Kannapolis, Wayne Sellers (Dawn), Kannapolis; one sister, Carolyn Sellers, Salisbury; six nieces, Sonya, Crystal, Belinda, Allison, Angie and Julie; four nephews, Michael, Romney, Chantz and Alan.

Sylvia also had many great nieces and nephews as well as great, great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Wimmer and the staff at Novant Health Cancer Institute of Rowan for all the support they showed to her and the family during Sylvia's illness.

A very special thank you to Michael Crisco who helped take Sylvia back and forth to treatments when the family couldn't.
