Russell Wayne Jones

Mr. Jones was born on June 29, 1971 in Union S.C. and was the son of the late Samuel Reuben Jones and Myra Miller Jones.

Educated in the Rowan County schools, he worked in construction and was the owner operator of Jones Construction. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, woodworking, boating and fishing. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Deborah Suggs. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons Tyler Jones (Tera), Jacob Jones, daughters Jessica Jones and Jaylen Jones. He is also survived by his sisters Gail Hood (Joe), Denise Hogan, Debora Korich and Pam Oester, brother Samuel Jones Jr. and grandchildren Eli Jones and Lorelai Jones.

Visitation for Mr. Jones will be on Friday August 26, 2022 at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home from 1:00 till 2:00 pm with funeral to follow at 2:00 also at the funeral home with Pastor Charles Curtis and Mark Burell, officiating.

To defray costs of the funeral expenses, the family has asked for donations toward the expenses to be made to Rockwell United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 337, Rockwell, NC 28138.
