Ralph Edgar Davis

Salisbury, Mr. Ralph Edgar Davis , 95 of Salisbury, passed away on Saturday June 15, 2013 at Maple Leaf Health Care in Statesville. Born on August 24, 1917 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late John Edgar and Nannie Rodgers Davis. Mr. Davis was educated in the Rowan County Schools and was a longtime member of Landis Baptist Church. He retired from Linn Corriher Mills and enjoyed farming. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Louise Lefler Davis on November 16, 1985. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters; Linda Borders of Anderson S.C., Gail Hill (Donald) of Statesville and Debbie Dew (David) of Williamston S.C. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amy, Thomas and Jeremy Borders, Matthew Hill and Joshua Dew and great grandson, Reid Duncan.

Visitation will be on Monday from 6:00 til 8:00 at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove, with funeral on Tuesday at 11 am at Landis Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Hawkins, minister. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd. Statesville, NC 28625.
