Mary Ann Davis

Mrs. Davis was born on April 1, 1932 in Cabarrus County and was the daughter of the late James Lee Torrence Sr. and Lucille Sally Robinson Torrence.

She was educated in the Cabarrus Schools and worked at the cotton mills in the Mooresville area. She was a member of Prince of Peace Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading her bible and being with her family. She loved Jesus and that was very important to her.

In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Ray Mark Upright, and her son Jonathan Patrick Upright and daughter Patricia Ann Bullard as well as her brothers James Torrence and Rev. Howard Torrence.

Those with cherished memories are her son Randy Mark Upright (Brenda) and Andy Bullard, as well as a daughter Wanda Yvonne Upright. She had 7 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm at Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove with funeral service to be held in the chapel of Linn Honeycutt at 2:00 with Pastor Chuck Overcash, officiating. Burial will follow at Centerview Baptist Cemetery, 3993 E. Maiden Rd. Maiden, NC 28650.
