Jeffrey Michael Powers

Mr. Jeffrey Michael Powers, age 63, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Jeff was born April 13, 1956 in Rowan County and was the son of the late John W. Powers, Jr. and Jane Audrey Miller Powers. He was of Baptist faith.

Jeff spent his career as the owner/operator of Southern Tradition Tattoos in Kannapolis. He was a good-hearted man who lived a free spirited life. In his spare time prior to his illness, he loved to ride motorcycles. He had a great love for his family and loved to help others.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Sandy Blackwelder Powers, and his children, Justin Michael Powers and Kristin Nicole Powers. He also leaves behind his brother, Gary Powers (Tamara), two brother’s in-law, Gary Blackwelder and Tommy Blackwelder and a sister in-law, Patty Blackwelder. Also surviving him are five grandchildren, Madison, Jaden, McKenzie, Javob and Lilly.

A Celebration of Life receiving of family and friends will be on Monday, February 17, 2020 from 7:00 – 9:00pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home, 1420 North Main Street, China Grove, NC.
