Harry Long Brawley

Mr. Brawley was born on September 10,1948 in Horry County S.C and was the son of the late Demps Brawley and Edith Whitfield Brawley.

Harry was a graduate of South Rowan High School and Rowan Cabarrus Community College. Following his schooling he joined the US Marines. He went on to become a self-employed plumber. He owned and operated Harry Brawley Plumbing Company for many years. In his spare time, Harry enjoyed hunting and fishing, taking care of his chickens, being with his family and going to the coast.

In addition to his parents, those who have preceded him are his brother Tom Brawley.

Those with cherished memories are his wife of 51 years Janet Lowder Brawley; his daughter Heather Brawley Patton (Richard); brothers, Glenn Brawley, Demps Brawley Jr.; sister, Karen Hill (Kermit) and grandchildren Kyndra Patton, Marshall Burnette, and Mia Patton. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at First Baptist Church in China Grove from 2:00 till 4:00 with funeral to follow also at First Baptist Church at 4:00 with Pastor Stan Welch, officiating.

Burial will be held later with military honors.
