Delsie Beaver Karriker

Born August 23, 1928, in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Henry R. Beaver and Corrie Deal Beaver.

In addition to her parents, Delsie was also preceded in death by her son, Jackson Perry Karriker, Jr. “Chip”; three brothers, Grady Beaver, Charlie Beaver and Carl Beaver and three sisters, Helen Hampton, Ethel Goodman and Margaret Roberts.

Delsie worked many years at Belk Department Store in the Cosmetic Department.

She loved spending time with her family and will be missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jennie Murphy (Marshall); daughter-in-law, Vickie Karriker; four grandchildren, Carol Karriker, Jacob Karriker, Hannah Karriker and Michael Murphy; two great-grandchildren, Jaitlyn and Jetson Karriker; brother, Billy R. Beaver (Willaree) and sister, Peggy Beaver Karriker (Phillip).

She is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM in the Northcrest Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Buddy Beaver officiating. Burial will follow at Concordia Lutheran Church Cemetery.
