Dalton Eugene Godair, 74, passed away Wednesday afternoon, August 10, 2011, at CMC in Charlotte, following an earlier accidental head injury. Born July 13, 1937 in New Madrid County, Missouri, he was a son of the late Herschel L. and Irene Patterson Godair. Educated in the Missouri School System, Mr. Godair had worked part time for Domino's Pizza for more than 20 years, loved his family, friends, WWF wrestling and gospel music.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Godair and a grandson, Michael Godair, II.
Family members left to cherish his memory include his children, Mike Godair and wife, Dawn, Bill Godair and wife, Tina, both of Salisbury, Debbie McCoy and husband, C.B., of Fairmont City, Illinois and Tony Godair and wife, Mirssa of Concord, his brothers, Johhny Godair and wife, Mickey of Durham, Kenny Godair and wife, Dianne of Burlington, and Buddy Godair of Portageville, Missouri, 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday 3:00-5:00 pm at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove. A funeral service to celebrate and remember the life of Mr. Godair will begin at 5:00 in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Johnny Godair.
