Born in Rowan County on March 30, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Troy Bowman and Martha Lou Frick Bowman, who survives.
Lynne, as she was affectionately known, graduated from A.L. Brown High School and the University of North Carolina – Charlotte. She spent many years as a Registered Nurse with Atrium-Cabarrus Hospital and served in the United States Air Force.
She was a member of Kannapolis Church of God, where she was very active in various ministries and outreach programs. Some of those included, singing in the church choir, teaching Children’s Church, involved with Wednesday Girls Club, the Ladies Ministry, and Helping Hands. She also was instrumental in Cabarrus Women’s Center.
Lynne enjoyed crafting, decorating for Christmas, working with her plants and flowers and loved spending time at Oak Island, NC. Above all, she loved her family, friends, church family and those she had been given the opportunity to impact their life.
In addition to her mother, Martha, she is survived by her husband of 28 years, John F. Bussard; children, Jennifer Lynne Schell (James), Hamilton Kenneth Wise (Amber), Jonathan Talmadge Wise and Tyler Adam Bussard (Nikki) and one sister, Crystal Dawn Wallace (Michael).
Lynne further leaves behind to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Cade Schell, Rysten Shell, Brogan Schell, Hudson Wise, Emerson Wise, Beckett Wise, and Baby Wise on the way, and her beloved canine companions, Skeeter Portsingus, Gracie Lou and Mason.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Kannapolis Church of God with Rev. Dr. Greg Sloop officiating.
The family will speak to friends immediately following the service. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org), or to Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care Cabarrus 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28081.
