Yvonne Marie Gormley

It is with much sadness that the family announces the passing of Yvonne Marie Gormley. Yvonne was born as a triplet with her brothers Clive and Barry in Manchester, England on April 17, 1939. She came to Canada with her family at 18 years of age and was followed shortly after by the love of her life John Joe Gormley. They were married at St. Mary’s Church in Chilliwack and soon after started a family in the area. Yvonne was a nurse in the Chilliwack hospital for many years. John and Yvonne spent the majority of their lives in Agassiz where they raised their family and created many cherishable memories. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, John Joe. She leaves behind her children Sue (Mark), Bernadette (Frank), Christine (Mike), Steve (Lori), Michael (Tracey), Pauline (Bill), as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and her beloved dog Tara. Funeral Service for Yvonne will be held at 1pm on Friday, November 1, 2013 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church at 7237 Morrow Road, Agassiz, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Yvonne’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
