Wanda was an exuberant and outspoken person with a distinct and often loud voice. In her younger years she worked as a hairdresser and later as a legal secretary. Her and Doug spent most of their family and later years on their small farm in Duncan where they both enjoyed a simple country lifestyle. Wanda was active in the Glenora community and worked off and on at the Glenora store.
Wanda was a regular at Bingo and enjoyed scratchers as well. She was often accused of having horseshoes due to her luck in winning when she gambled. Wanda was also an avid bowler and the family bowled competitively for several years. As a devoted mother Wanda supported both her children in baseball and enjoyed watching them play and progress in their sport of choice. Wanda also loved to play cards over a cup, or several of coffee. She would often visit friends or family or host them to enjoy cribbage games especially. Her and Doug played best of 3 every day when he returned home from work and into his retirement years. Wanda spent the last 3 years of her life in Cascades Retirement Home where she was able to enjoy time with her Chilliwack family. Wanda will be missed by those that knew and loved her. She will be remembered most for her spitfire personality and big heart.
